The fuel price has been stabilized since early this year and marine resources are abundant, resulting in effective operation of fishing boats.
The output of exploited seafood in the first three months this year is estimated to reach 7,287.5 tons, accounting for 130% compared to the same period last year and reaching 27% of the plan.
This resulted from favorable weather conditions and good management in exploitation, marine resources conservation, growing awareness of farmers and straightforward administrative procedures which have been highly evaluated by local people.
A vast majority of mackerel, anchovy and tuna has been caught from offshore fishing and bombay duck and scomberoides have been caught from nearshore fishing trips and brought high economic value.
