Navico’s pangasius exports decreased by 25% after the first two months
Navico saw a 21% increase in a total of export volume in February alone as compared to the same period last year. Revenue from China decreased by 87%, meanwhile sales in EU and South Asia rose by 55% and 101% respectively.
The company said that its pangasius exports grew by 5% after the first two months as compared to the same period last year. However, its export volume decreased by 25% to 15.9 million USD.
Even though a noticeable drop in sales has been recorded in the Chinese market due to the covid-9 pandemic, demand is growing in Southeast Asia and EU.
Navico’s leaders said that the company’s operation has been kept going with lower capacity regardless of the covid-19 pandemic. The transition from China to other potential markets has partly improved its export volume in the last two months.
