Shrimp farming requires a good environment because shrimps grow up well and fast in a clean water environment. Increasingly polluted environment in recent years, especially the toxic effect of NO2, have resulted in dead shrimp scatteredly in ponds, including pond liner and earthen pond, with the highest death toll recorded in dry season when the temperature increases.
To reduce NO2 in growing ponds and help shrimp weigh up well, Uni-President Vietnam Co., Ltd is studying an environmentally-sound solution to handle NO2 which either ensures safety for farmed shrimp, environment friendly and gain trust from farmers.

Hãng, a customer of Uni-President Vietnam, who has 10 years of experience in farming industrial black tiger shrimp, said that he had suffered from the toxicity of NO2 which resulted in shrimp growing slowly. He then was advised to use water treatment products such as Bacsiluu, Denitrit, Detoxin, Up Oxi and Bot prooft produced by Uni-President. When NO2 is completely reduced, he placed his trust in products manufactured and distributed by Uni-President.
Hãng evaluates that after using Uni’s product, the water in growing ponds is brighter, cleaner, NO2 is reduced, and shrimps grow up well.

Another customer of Uni-President, Chương, who owns 4 hectares of industrial shrimp farm in Trần Đề district of Sóc Trăng province, said that after 48 days of stocking white leg shrimp, he discovered a threefold increase in NO2 level. He reached Uni-President Vietnam’s officer for advice where he was introduced to products such as Bacsiluu, Denitrit, Detoxin, Up Oxy, and Bot Prooft to reduce NO2. He agreed to use these products and achieved a good result beyond expectation when NO2 is reduced and shrimp grow well.
According to Chương, water in growing farms is brighter, no more algae is found, NO2 is at a safe level (=1), shrimp grow faster.

Thanh, whose passion for shrimp farming is very skillful. He hesitated buying Uni-President Vietnam’s NO2 treatment product when hearing about it. But the Uni officer’s enthusiastic advisory made him use the product in one pond for trial. As a result, the pond was clear with toxic gas. He then started to use Uni-President Vietnam’s products in other ponds and introduce them to his friends.
According to Thanh, water is brighter and shrimps eat well, NO2 level is reduced to 1 and NH3=0,25.
Ending the trial, Thanh highly evaluates Uni’s products which helps reduce NO2 level and clean water. He decides to place an order through Uni’s agency and use those products in all his shrimp farms.
