Vietnamese smoked pangasius a finalist in 2025 Seafood Excellence Global Awards

Vietnam’s smoked pangasius has been named one of the 40 finalists in the prestigious Seafood Excellence Global Awards 2025, to be held during the Seafood Expo Global in Barcelona, Spain, from May 6–8.

Organized annually, the Seafood Excellence Global Awards celebrate the best seafood products showcased at the expo. This year’s finalists represent 15 countries and will compete for two grand prizes: Best Hotel/Restaurant/Catering (HORECA) Product and Best Retail Product. Four additional special awards will recognize outstanding achievements in innovation, convenience, retail packaging, and seafood product line development.

Among the shortlisted entries, the Smoked Panga Jerky by Van Duc Tien Giang Food Export Company Limited has earned a spot in the final round under the Best Retail Product category, marking a proud moment for Vietnamese seafood innovation on the global stage.

The finalists were selected by a jury of four seafood industry experts. The winners will be announced during a special reception on the first day of the expo at Fira de Barcelona, Gran Via.

The Seafood Excellence Global Awards are part of a trio of annual international competitions, which also include the Seafood Excellence Awards in Boston (Seafood Expo North America) and the Seafood Excellence Asia Awards in Singapore. All three events are organized by Diversified Communications, the producer behind the world’s leading seafood exhibitions.

Earlier this year, the North America edition was held from March 15 – 17, while Seafood Expo Asia is set to take place from September 10 – 12, 2025.
