Phú Yên: Marine fishery production increases
According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in Phú Yên, thanks to the favorable weather conditions, fishing vessels can set sail to the sea and stay off-shore for a few days, which means that fishermen focus on catching off-shore.
From the beginning of the year until now, the province has 2.333 fishing vessels leaving the port and 2.192 vessels docking at the port, bringing along over 52.500 tons of seafood of all kinds, an increase of 2% over the same period last year. Of which, the big-eye yellowfin tuna production is 2.726 tons.
In order to help fishermen comfortably stay off-shore, authorities have granted 305 fishing licenses, deposited route-control devices for 625 fishing vessels and licensed technical safety certificates for 452 vessels.
