Bình Định: Allocating more than 57 tons of chemicals to treat shrimp farming areas
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan, Deputy Director of the Department of Livestock Production – Veterinary Medicine (Department of Agriculture and Rural Development), said on the basis of the number of disinfectants for treating the aquaculture environment issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department has allocated to localities in the province to treat the environment in shrimp farming areas in crop 1/2021, reduce diseases arising and spread on ponds and lakes in the upcoming crop.
Specifically, Quy Nhơn City was allocated 10 tons of 65% Chlorine chemicals; Tuy Phước district 4 tons of Chlorine chemical 65% and 6.2 tons of Chlorite chemical 20%; Phù Cát district 5 tons of Chlorite 20%; Phù Mỹ district 18 tons of Chlorite 20%; Hoài Nhơn Town 9.5 tons Chlorine 65% and 4.5 tons Chlorite 20%.
Previously, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development issued a seasonal calendar of brackish water shrimp farming in 2021 to guide localities and shrimp farmers to implement; it is expected that the whole province will stock shrimp on 2,107 hectares.
