Đồng Tháp plans to launch the Week of pangasius and specialities in Hanoi

In the afternoon of Sep 21, 2020, Deputy Chairman of Đồng Tháp’s People’s Committee Phạm Thiện Nghĩa and leaders of sectors and departments worked with the Đồng Tháp Center of Introduction and Exhibition of specialties and tourism in Hà Nội about the future plan of holding “The week of pangasius and Đồng Tháp’s pangasius and specialities in Hanoi”.

“The week of Đồng Tháp’s pangasius and specialties in Hanoi” is an event introducing and promoting pangasius, a speciality of Đồng Tháp, to consumers in Hanoi, helping products be sold in the Big C supermarket system and other distributing channels. This program is to advertise and consume agricultural products and specialties of Đồng Tháp in the northern provinces, gradually building the image of pangasius in the domestic market. Besides exhibition and promotion stalls, there will be a demonstration of cooking pangasius food and trying new products from pangasius. This program is planned to run on Oct 9-11, 2020 in Big C Thăng Long supermarket, Cầu Giấy district, Hanoi with 40 stalls.

In his speech, Deputy Chairman Phạm Thiện Nghĩa said that the Đồng Tháp Center of Introduction and Exhibition of specialties and tourism in Hanoi will be the main distributor and controller. The local department of Industry and Trade and relevant sectors are requested to support and advise companies to join this event. Quality and effectiveness must be paid attention when promoting agricultural products of Đồng Tháp. The provincial People’s Committee calls for accent implementation and accompanying of companies.
