As many as 81 outstanding collectives, individuals and enterprises in the fisheries sector were honored with the title of “Vietnam Gold Quality Seafood 2017” at a ceremony in Hà Nội on December 21, for their contributions to the industry. The event, the fourth of its kind, was co-organized by the Vietnam Fisheries Association (VFA) and the Vietnam Fisheries Magazine.
Taking part in the events were Vũ Văn Tám, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; Nghiêm Vũ Khải, Vice President of the VietnamUnion of Science and Technology Associations ; Tạ Quang Ngọc, the former Minister of the Ministry of Fisheries and Nguyễn Việt Thắng, VFA’s President.
Addressing the ceremony, Vũ Văn Tám, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development said the title is expected to raise the hardworking spirit of laborers and every economic component, steering the fisheries sector towards efficiency and sustainability. The best 8 collectives and the 8 excellent individuals received certificates of merit granted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Nguyễn Văn Phong, the owner of fishing boat QB 91458 TS Quảng Bình who awarded this time, said the title is a great for him, making him more energetically continue expanding the production and contributing to the development of Vietnamese fisheries, and firmly protecting country’s sovereignty over sea and islands.
