Phu Yen establishes sustainable aquaculture club
The Phu Yen Provincial Farmers’ Association recently launched the Sustainable Aquaculture Club at the Phu Son Village Cultural Center, located in An Ninh Dong commune, Tuy An district.
During the event, the association announced the creation of a steering committee and appointed an interim leadership team. The club, comprising 40 members, aims to support farmers by fostering community connections, promoting the application of scientific advancements, and sharing aquaculture techniques. Its mission is to build a responsible and sustainable aquaculture community while gradually improving productivity, product quality, and market competitiveness.
Additionally, the club provides a platform for members to exchange knowledge, share practical experiences, and collaborate in forming cooperatives and joint ventures. This initiative contributes to enhancing the “Excellent Farmers in Production and Business” movement and advancing collective agricultural practices.
As part of the launch, Bode-Ecotech High-Tech Agriculture JSC donated 5,000 membership cards, each worth 5 million VND, and one million shrimp seedlings to support the club’s members, providing valuable resources for sustainable aquaculture development.
The establishment of this club represents a significant step towards sustainable aquaculture in Phu Yen, promoting economic growth while prioritizing environmental sustainability and community collaboration.
