U.S. confirms zero anti-dumping duty for seven Vietnamese pangasius exporters
The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) has issued the final results of its 20th administrative review of anti-dumping duties on frozen pangasius fillets from Vietnam, assigning a zero percent duty rate to seven exporters.
The review, covering shipments between August 1, 2022, and July 31, 2023, concluded that Bien Dong Seafood Co., Ltd. did not sell pangasius below fair value in the U.S. market. Six other exporters – Bien Dong Seafood Co., Ltd./Bien Dong Hau Giang Seafood JSC, Can Tho Import Export Seafood JSC (CASEAMEX), Dai Thanh Seafood Co., Ltd., Dong A Seafood One Member Co., Ltd., Hung Ca 6 JSC, Nam Viet Corporation (NAVICO), and NTSF Seafoods JSC- qualified for separate rate status and received the same zero-duty margin.
The DOC determined that Bien Dong Seafood did not sell frozen pangasius fillets in the U.S. market at less than fair value during the review period. The six other companies qualified for separate rate status and were granted the same zero-duty rate of USD 0.00 per kilogram.
Pangasius remains a major export item for Vietnam, with frozen fillets making up 80% of total pangasius exports. The U.S. is among the largest buyers.
Vietnam Customs data showed pangasius exports to the U.S. rose 35% year-on-year in May to USD 41 million. Total exports during the first five months of 2025 reached USD 142 million, up 7% from the same period last year.
