On March 21, Beanstalk Agtech and Vietnam Fisheries Association (VINAFIS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) extending for 2 years to enhance cooperation in smart agriculture to cope with climate change.

This is part of the activities within the framework of the 5th VietShrimp Aquaculture International Fair, themed “VietShrimp 2024 – In Company with Shrimp Farmers”, held from March 20-22, 2024 in Ca Mau.

At the signing ceremony, Cherie Russell – Deputy Ambassador of Australia to Vietnam, stated that Beanstalk Agtech is implementing the Australia-Vietnam Partnership Program on Smart Agriculture to address climate change in Vietnam.

According to Cherie Russell, this agreement will promote overall economic growth as well as exchange of information and experience in the field of smart agriculture between the two countries. The agreement also serves as a basis for both parties to collaborate in promoting, distributing, and marketing products and services in Australia and Vietnam.

Beanstalk Agtech is leading a delegation of 12 Australian agricultural technology companies to survey the Mekong Delta region to seek opportunities for cooperation to apply smart climate technology solutions to Vietnam’s rice and shrimp industries.

In the future, Beanstalk Agtech will continue to support potential partnerships between Australian and Vietnamese businesses in the aquaculture and seafood industries of Vietnam, especially focusing on solutions in smart agriculture to cope with climate change. Moreover, VINAFIS will support promotion and distribution locally to expand the scale for Australian businesses in Vietnam.
