Bình Định enhances to prevent covid-19 in fishing ports

Besides enhancing the examination at gates, Bình Định has a checking toll set up in fishing ports to prevent Covid-19.  

In the face of overwhelming Covid-19 pandemic, Bình Định’s Chairman Hồ Quốc Dũng requested competent authorities and Chairman of People’s Committee of districts, towns and cities to enhance the examination at tolls to decisively suppress and prevent coronavirus imported from outside.

Besides, he urged Chairman of People’s Committee of Quy Nhơn City, Phù Cát district, and Hoài Nhơn town to set up checking tolls at Tam Quan, Đề Gi and Quy Nhơn fishing ports.

These checking tolls are set up by the provincial Disease prevention Center in association with relevant local authorities and management boards of fishing ports and operated by health workers.

Upon the directions by provincial People’s Committee, on August 08, People’s Committee of Quy Nhơn City, Phù Cát district, and Hoài Nhơn town carried out a survey and set up checking tolls at Tam Quan, Đề Gi and Quy Nhơn fishing ports to prevent Covid-19 pandemic.

In Quy Nhơn city, the Military Staff Committee worked with the city’s health center and Defence station at the border gate of Quy Nhơn port to survey the location and set up checking tolls at Quy Nhơn fishing port and Mũi Tấn Defence station so as to check the health declaration conducted by fishermen on the boats calling into and departing the port, especially fishing boats from Quảng Ngãi, Quảng Nam and Đà Nẵng.

Phù Cát district’s People’s Committee directed the Police force, Military Staff Committee and local Health Center to work with People’s Committee of Cát Khánh commune, Management Board of Đề Gi fishing port, and Đề Gi Defence station to set up a checking toll at Đề Gi fishing port with 10 workers in charge of checking the coronavirus prevention.

The People’s Committee of Hoài Nhơn town carried out a survey to pick up a location for a checking toll at Tam Quan Bắc Defence station so as to monitor fishermen of the boats arriving at and departing Tam Quan fishing port. The checking toll has 12 people working within an allotted 8 hour shift per day in turns. There will be 3 shifts per day on full moon days when all fishing boats come home.

Tam Quan, Đề Gi và Quy Nhơn fishing boats together with an inter-branch expert team from inland and marine forces, including Police force, Defence military soldiers and sub-department staff, to carry out a patrol and check the boats arriving at and departing fishing ports and disseminate fishermen to strictly follow regulations in Covid-19 prevention.
