The second VietShrimp 2018 inaugurated in Bạc Liêu Some pictures from the trade fair this year:
VietShrimp 2018, the second fair on technology in the shrimp industry of Việt Nam, inaugurated in Cao Van Lau Theatre & Exhibition centre of Bạc Liêu Province on April 27 with the theme of “Renovate to success”.
The fair is being held by the Vietnam Fisheries Society; Bạc Liêu Fisheries Association; Bạc Liêu Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and Vietnam Fisheries Magazine which under the direction of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the provincial People’s Committee of Bạc Liêu.
The attendance of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development included Vũ Văn Tám, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; Tạ Quang Ngọc, the former Minister of Fisheries Ministry; Trần Đình Luân, Deputy DirectorGeneral of Directorate of Fisheries. The attendance of the People’s Committee of Bạc Liêu Province includes Nguyễn Quang Dương, Secretary of Bạc Liêu provincial Party Committee; Lê Thị Ái Nam, Vice-Chairman of Bạc Liêu provincial People’s Committee; Dương Thành Trung, Chairman of Bạc Liêu People’sCommittee. In addition, there are attendances of several organizations nationwide and worldwide; enterprises, associations, experts, scientist and shrimp farmers in the Mekong Delta and press agencies, media companies.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Nguyễn Việt Thắng, Chairman of Vietnam Fisheries Society – chief organizer of Vietshrimp 2018 said Việt Nam’s shrimp industry had developed strongly recent years and shrimp becomes one of the key seafood products during past 10 years, leading to an increase of foreign currency inflow and million jobs opportunities nationwide. The industry has been targeted to reach export turnover of US$10 billion by 2025. To reach the target, Vietnam’s shrimp sector needs scientific and technological breakthroughs, in breeding, production, and disease control in order to improve the quality and boost trade promotion for Vietnamese shrimp to international markets. Vietshrimp 2018 ran in 3 days from April 27 to April 29 with exhibitions and workshops with themes “High tech in shrimp farming” and “Sustainable development of shrimp farming”.
The fair has the power to attract around 120 exhibitors nationwide and abroad who are famous cooperation as Minh Phu Seafood, Uni-President Vietnam, Skretting Vietnam, Sheng Long Bio-Tech, Duong Hung Aquatic Breeding, De Heus Vietnam, Proconco….introducing products such as animal feeds, bio products, medicine, technology, equipment and machinery for farming, processing and logistics services of the shrimp industry as well as the fisheries industry.
