VietShrimp 2025: A premier event draws thousands on opening day

VietShrimp 2025 was a tremendous success, leaving a significant impact on the shrimp industry in particular and the aquaculture sector as a whole, both domestically and internationally. Right from the opening day, the event drew thousands of visitors.

On the morning of March 26, 2025, the 6th Vietnam Aquaculture International Fair (VietShrimp 2025) officially kicked off at the Can Tho Investment – Trade Promotion and Exhibition Center. Running from March 26 to 28, the event features nearly 150 domestic and international companies across approximately 200 booths, showcasing cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions for sustainable shrimp farming.

With the theme “Greening Farming,” this year’s expo highlights key areas including aquatic breeding, feed, pharmaceuticals, management technologies, equipment, and logistics. Leading companies such as De Heus and Thăng Long have brought forward advanced farming models, including waterless recirculating shrimp systems and comprehensive solutions for nutrition and environmental treatment.

More than just an exhibition, VietShrimp 2025 also hosts four specialized seminars, bringing together experts, policymakers, business leaders, and shrimp farmers to explore industry trends, opportunities, and challenges in the context of climate change.

The event attracted thousands of visitors on its very first day, particularly farmers and aquaculture businesses from Mekong Delta provinces like Bac Lieu, Kien Giang, Tra Vinh, Vinh Long, and Long An. Booths offered not only product displays but also technical consultations, lucky draws, and appreciation gifts.

Excitement continued through the second and third days, with active participation from enterprises, scientists, and shrimp farmers. The expo earned high praise for its smooth organization, with efficient cooling systems, strict security, and a user-friendly check-in process.

VietShrimp 2025 serves not only as a vital trade and networking platform but also as a driver in elevating Vietnam’s shrimp industry on the global stage. The event runs until 4:00 PM on March 28, 2025, and is expected to draw even more visitors and foster valuable collaborations.
