De Heus launches a new marine R&D facility in Vietnam
This new establishment includes two advanced systems designed to innovate nutritional solutions for crustaceans and marine species such as Asian seabass.
De Heus is reinforcing its R&D capabilities with the establishment of a new marine research facility at the Vinh Long Aqua Research and Development Center in Vietnam. This 5.5-hectare aqua farm now includes two cutting-edge systems aimed at pioneering nutritional advancements for crustaceans and marine species like Asian seabass.
During the facility’s inauguration, Koen de Heus, CEO of De Heus Animal Nutrition, lauded the combined efforts of the Vietnamese and global R&D teams involved in the project. He highlighted that this facility will elevate their global aqua farming expertise, benefiting shrimp and marine fish clients worldwide. He also emphasized that the aqua R&D team in Vietnam provides crucial support through their expertise and trials.
Johan van den Ban, General Director of De Heus Vietnam, highlighted the company’s dedication to advancing the Vietnamese shrimp industry, reiterating their commitment to customers both in Vietnam and internationally.
Dylan Tien, Head of Global Aquaculture R&D, expressed confidence that the strategic investment and experienced research team will deliver comprehensive nutritional solutions and add significant value, aiding the success of aquaculture farmers in Vietnam and globally.
Recently, De Heus inaugurated a shrimp feed mill in Vinh Long province and formed a partnership with Quan Minh Co. Ltd. to foster farm development, aquaculture businesses, and distribution networks in Quang Ninh province.
